Operator of the Year

Only one Central Station Operator in the nation can win the Central Station Operator of the year award.

ADS was proud to nominate, and even more thrilled to learn that long-term employee Rick Cahill, had been chosen as the alarm industry's Central Station Operator of the year. Rick achieved this distinction in only the second year the award was presented.

Rick has recently been promoted to the position of Assistant Central Station Manager, and still maintains his standing as Lead Supervisor/Trainer.

An example of Rick's commitment to his position can be best described by example. In the summer of 1997 an unprecidented 18 inches of rain fell in a 12 hour period. The majority of central station employees could not reach work due to flooding. Rick was one of a handful of employees who found a way to the central station. He worked for 48 hours without going home, napping only as time would permit. A true testament to his dedication and commitment.
