Job Summary:

As an employee of the Vehicle Maintenance department, it is the responsibility to inspect and maintain company vehicles and equipment to ensure that all equipment is operating in a safe and proper manner.

 *Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assess vehicle to accurately diagnose mechanical issues
  • Provide routine inspections and maintenance of vehicles
  • Able to perform general auto repair
  • Must have the essential tools to perform general auto repair
  • Follow directions and duties as assigned from manager
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work area
  • Maintain maintenance records
  • General maintenance of the garage
  • Must be prepared to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to work flexible hours if situation requires
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience conducting routine services and vehicle maintenance is required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Reliable and responsible
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Must be self-sufficient
  • Ability to use applied logic
  • Must be able to use tools
  • Basic computer skills
  • Communication skills
  • Drive a standard shift

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Clear and valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
