We are currently one of the largest privately owned security companies in the United States and are continuing to grow! Working in Central Station can be hectic, but there is nothing better than that sincere thank you and knowing I was able to help someone who may not have been having the greatest of days. My favorite days are the ones that end with the satisfaction of being to solve problems.
Being thorough when helping a customer is of the utmost importance to me. I want to ensure all the pieces fit together perfectly and are continuously corrected and updated to help us better monitor their account. Every day I come back anxious to start work and ready to do as much as possible. I love it.
I have grown up at ADS. I came to ADS to change careers and leave the IT world. I was 25 and looking to learn new skills, and ADS gave me that opportunity. I was hired as an alarm re-programmer and trained by some excellent technicians that are still with the company. When my life changed again, I moved into the office in our call center, which was my most challenging job. From there, I returned to what I knew best and had a passion for IT.
ADS has allowed me to grow and has given me many opportunities. I have been given a chance to pave the way for new IT personnel as the company grows. ADS has been willing to develop my skills and those around me. We have gone from a single IT person to a team of six. ADS has created seven new department titles in IT. CIO, MIS Manager, IT Supervisor, System Administrator, Network Administrator, IT Specialist, Helpdesk. I am thankful for a company that values loyal, hard-working employees and creates opportunities for self-improvement and development.
I never wanted to work for a company that made me feel like just another number, and after 20 years, I can say that I am not just a number to ADS.
I enjoy working for Alarm Detection Systems as it has allowed me to further my career goals. At the same time, I finished graduate school, having started as a Fire Alarm Inspector Technician and currently in our accounting department.
This company has shown me that it fully invests in its employees and customers.
